Latin IV
Using Vergil's Aeneid as its centerpiece, this course exposes students to significant excerpts from Books I-VI, with particular emphasis placed on Vergil's poetic technique, artistic goals, epic structure, and the range of moral and aesthetic issues that arise from a close reading of the text.
